Section 1.Product Identification
Product Name: Polypropylene (PP). Supplier: Dangote Petroleum Refinery. Use: General purpose thermoplastic polymer for industrial and consumer applications.
Section 2.Hazard Identification
Not classified as hazardous under normal conditions of use. Dust may cause mild respiratory irritation. No known environmental hazards at room temperature.
Section 3.Composition / Information on Ingredients
Component: Polypropylene polymer. CAS No.: 9003-07-0. Content: >99%. Non-toxic inert solid at ambient conditions.
Section 4.First Aid Measures
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water. Eye Contact: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Ingestion: Not expected to be hazardous.
Section 5.Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: >300°C. Suitable extinguishing media: CO₂, dry powder, foam, water spray. Combustion may produce carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.
Section 6.Handling and Storage
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources. Keep container tightly closed.
